Day 7

Andy is doing better and better. They are taking him off of the morphine totally. Hopefully he will respond well and then he will be transfered from surgery care to hematology care. Then we will start talking about when we are going to start chemo.

The chemo will be 4 cycles all being 3 weeks apart. He will be admitted into the hospital at the beginning of each cycle. He will probably have to stay for at least a day or three. With the first drug that he receives he will have to receive intravenous fluids for about 4 hours each time.
He will have chemo for about 3 or 4 months then surgery and then 2 more cycles of chemo after surgery.

He is doing very well.

Andy is going to fine. I assure it. If you only knew how many people are praying for him and love him that do not even know him, you too would have the same profound feeling of assuance that I do.
Love you
Dad/Grandpa

Grandpa Dan told me about your little boy this morning and the picture on the blog is darling. My family immediately added him to our prayer list and tonight we will add him to the prayers of our churches home fellowship which meets tonight. We have also added you parents who are surely going through the trial of your young lives. Be blessed and may the healing and peace of Jesus Christ fall on you in abundence. Remember, "nothing is impossible with God"! Jay

That's a big load for such a little guy, but he's a fighter. He's going to do fine. He's got so many people praying for him that he can't help but get better.

You two are great parents. I guess you get it from your parents. Keep your chins up. He'll be going home before you know it.

Love,

Aunt Carolyn
& Uncle Phil
